The family of Special Agent Martha Dixon wishes to express our terrible sadness regarding the death of Special Agent Sam Hicks.  This was a horrible and senseless crime.  This Saturday, November 22^nd, we will commemorate the fourteenth anniversary of  Martha’s tragic death.  We are once again stricken with grief and we are heartsick for the Hicks family.  Special Agent Hicks dedicated himself to saving lives by removing violent criminals and dangerous drugs from our society.  He did so by placing his own life in danger every day.  His courage and dedication was heroic.  We wish to offer our support and our prayers to the family of Special Agent Hicks.  We hope you can find consolation in the memories of his life and in the support of the FBI family as they embrace you and comfort you as they did our family.    

And we wish to offer our admiration and gratitude to those in law enforcement everywhere who have similarly dedicated their lives, protecting us from those who would prey upon us.
